| "Beyond the Dolls House"
Created by Helen Holland
This exhibition was started in 1999. Robin Loder, inspired by a miniature potting shed built by Helen Holland, commissioned an entire estate in miniature one-twelfth scale. This exhibition is modelled around the outside of a large country mansion and was called "Behind the Dolls House".
As the years went by, first outer reaches of the estate with workers and outbuildings were added; then the components of a rural village; with the contsruction of a department store and craftsmans workshops it started to grow into a town.
Finally in the winter of 2006 the exhibition had to be moved to a new location and a complete market town was created, with a town house, shopping emporium, photographic studio, tea shops and the original country estate.
